Review:
Thank you to Harlequin and Aro Publicity for my free copy of Cooper's Charm. All opinions expressed below are my own.
Cooper's Charm is the second book of Lori Foster's that I have had the pleasure to read. I found this to be a light and fun summer read. While I'll admit that there seemed to be a lot of instant love matches and all was a bit too good to be true, it was still an enjoyable romp.
Cooper's Charm tells the story of sisters Phoenix and Ridley and their attempts to rebuild their lives. Phoenix moves to the lakeside community of Cooper's Charm in order to rebuild her life after a traumatic event. What she doesn't expect to find is love. Her sister, Ridley, decides to visit Phoenix to make sure she is okay, only to be thrust into a romantic tryst of her own.
There are definitely some HOT scenes in this novel, but not too many to take away from the sweet plot. There are also a couple of mystery elements that add to the plot and help the narrative move forward. Finally, I loved the sense of friendship amongst the characters. These are people I would love to hang out with and have as a friend. These characters are loyal and truly good people, which makes for a refreshing read. Plus, Phoenix is not a string bean, but doesn't spend the book talking about her needs to diet and exercise - what a refreshing attribute for a female heroine.
I enjoyed Cooper's Charm and would definitely recommend it to others who enjoy a bit of romance in their reads!
